Somatics

Somatic, derived from the ancient Greek, is “of the body.” We believe that the body isĀ  a temple and is often neglected in our mind-oriented, fast-paced technological world. Eastern practices such as yoga teach us the importance of integrating mind, body, and spirit–often becoming more mindful and conscious of what we do, for better or worse, to our bodies. The research clearly shows that the body has great resilience and healing powers. Exercise, massage, physical therapy, yoga, healing touch therapy, and natural medicines and herbs can help augment healing and improve wellness. Natural foods and products are also ways to have a positive impact on health as well as the environment.
